A Year in Review
Friday, December 17, 2010 at 5:25PM Here we are again at another year's end. Man, this year went by fast! (Are you tired of hearing that yet?) We just wanted to take this time to reflect on all that we've been able to accomplish in the last 12 months, and what we've got planned for the next 12.
2010 marked the launch of 2 new products. JobDeck, our joint-product with TweetDeck, which quickly became the most downloaded niche version of TweetDeck at the time.
and Buzzzy.com, the first search engine and first search API for Google Buzz. Beyond being a great stand alone product, it opened doors for us with Google that we previously didn't have access to. In May, we worked with Google to create a real-time account of all Google I/O delegates: where they ate, where they stayed, etc. Since then we've worked with other international events companies, including TechCrunch events, to build similar products.
We welcomed 2 great new team members to the TwitJobSearch crew: Sam, our business developement manager and Kris, the newest addition to our talented development team.
In February TwitJobSearch was featured on Fox News, marking the US television debut of our CEO Howard Lee. In November, we were featured on BBC Click, the BBC's flagship technology programme.
2010 also marked the beginning of our involvement with Bill Boorman's innovative TRU unconference series. We had a great time playing host to Bill and his international crew of recruitment and sourcing experts.
In March we celebrated TwitJobSearch's 1 year anniversary! Man, that year went by fast!
The past year has brought about the opportunity to work with loads of great new clients. Companies that joined the TwitJobSearch family in 2010 include; KFC, adidas, NEXT, Lloyd's, Ernst & Young, The Telegraph, Gumtree, HAYS, Accenture, The Guardian, Trinity Mirror, Dixon's and more.
2011 is already promising to be a busy year; we have 3 new innovative products set to launch, and on January 20th we are helping Incisive Media to launch SMART: Social Media for Business a brand new world-class event focussing on the real risks of using and not using social media within your business.
We've had a great year and we are very excited about what's to come.
