Social Search just got a whole lot Smarter

The team here at TwitJobSearch.com are always developing new, smarter, technologies to make finding your next job even easier. Today marks the launch of some really great new features at Buzzzy.com, soon to be applied to TwitJobSearch.com.

We already created the first 3rd party search engine for Google Buzz, Buzzzy.com, the first search API for Google Buzz and we were the only search engine to collaborate with Google on the launch of their Google Buzz buttons.

Data found in services like Twitter, Facebook, and Google Buzz, tends to be unstructured and limited. Buzzzy uses semantic processing to add meta-data to items in activity streams. This allows it to offer faceted search capabilities; such as filtering results by geo-location.

We believe that semantic processing is the best way to make sense of, and to index, the social web. "Search engines are struggling to develop the right relevancy protocols for activity streams," said Buzzzy’s CEO Howard Lee. "With our ChatterMining techniques, we can index not just the key words in these streams but evaluate the context and add metadata to make search results actionable and not just interesting."

Buzzzy now includes:

  • Enhanced Semantic Relevance
Looking at the words in the activity stream and metadata in context to help improve relevancy algorithms
  • Adding Geo-Location and Profile data to Filters
Buzzzy adds metadata to social "updates" to enhance the filtering and indexing of them
  • Intention Mining
Buzzzy uses semantic analysis to help determine the intent of the social update.  Most evident in the classified offers index, e.g. "Classifieds" tab
  • Multi-Language Indexing and Translation Tools
Buzzzy uses native language recognition to translate from any language, and to any language.
  • Real-Time Results
You may now choose to view your Buzzzy results in Real-Time, instead of relevancy.  These results also offered in product API
  • Special SERPs for RichMedia and Classified Offers
Product changes layout and faceted search capabilities for different types of activity streams
"Google's created a great development environment and their open standards approach to activity streams are a real asset to social media.," said Howard Lee, CEO of WorkDigital."  The Google Buzz and PubSubHubBub protocols helps us to realize our mission to build powerful semantic search tools for social media."

Buzzzy.com collaborates with Google

WorkDigital, developer of Buzzzy.com, collaborates with Google to implement New Google Buzz button

With over 400 million individuals globally engaging with online social media products, social media is re-shaping how we use the web.  As a semantic search technology company, WorkDigital has been partnering with the companies leading the charge.  We have built products with TweetDeck, LinkedIn, the Twitter API and now is working with Google Buzz.

WorkDigital, in its efforts to build the future of social media search, built the first 3rd party search engine for Google Buzz, Buzzzy.com. It is now pleased to be collaborating with Google and using the Buzz API to implement the Google Buzz buttons that facilitate sharing of Buzz posts. This implementation can be found in search results at Buzzzy.com.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with leading social media products like Google Buzz," said Howard Lee, CEO of WorkDigital. "They've created a great development environment and their open standards approach to activity streams are a real asset to social media.  The Google Buzz product helps us to realize our mission to build powerful semantic search tools for social media and the new Buzz button greatly facilitates sharing and is a feature our users have asked for."
