Social Search just got a whole lot Smarter
Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 2:19PM The team here at TwitJobSearch.com are always developing new, smarter, technologies to make finding your next job even easier. Today marks the launch of some really great new features at Buzzzy.com, soon to be applied to TwitJobSearch.com.
We already created the first 3rd party search engine for Google Buzz, Buzzzy.com, the first search API for Google Buzz and we were the only search engine to collaborate with Google on the launch of their Google Buzz buttons.
We believe that semantic processing is the best way to make sense of, and to index, the social web. "Search engines are struggling to develop the right relevancy protocols for activity streams," said Buzzzy’s CEO Howard Lee. "With our ChatterMining techniques, we can index not just the key words in these streams but evaluate the context and add metadata to make search results actionable and not just interesting."
Buzzzy now includes:
- Enhanced Semantic Relevance
Looking at the words in the activity stream and metadata in context to help improve relevancy algorithms -
Adding Geo-Location and Profile data to FiltersBuzzzy adds metadata to social "updates" to enhance the filtering and indexing of them
- Intention Mining
Buzzzy uses semantic analysis to help determine the intent of the social update. Most evident in the classified offers index, e.g. "Classifieds" tab - Multi-Language Indexing and Translation Tools
Buzzzy uses native language recognition to translate from any language, and to any language. - Real-Time Results
You may now choose to view your Buzzzy results in Real-Time, instead of relevancy. These results also offered in product API - Special SERPs for RichMedia and Classified Offers
Product changes layout and faceted search capabilities for different types of activity streams
